2017 Photography Classes

Once a year, I open up Photography Classes at my home, here in Gilbert AZ.  I try to become an open book and teach you everything I know about my passion.  I keep the classes small and intimate, and I keep them affordable.  Each class is $50.  Tempe Camera teaches similar classes with a much larger class size, that start at $95.

Photo 101:  A basics class that will take even your iPhone photography to the next level.  Topics covered include exposure basics, composition, lighting, posing do's and don'ts, and best camera apps.

Photo 101 will be offered: Tuesday, February 7th, 9:30 am - 11:30 am (filled) OR Saturday, February 11, 10 am to 12 noon.

Photo 202:  Learn how to take your digital camera off the Auto setting and master the world of Manual.  I will work with you hands on, teaching Manual in a variety of ways to make sure it really sinks in.  Your mind will be blown with how you can tell your camera what to do and how to do it.  In layman's terms, get that pretty blurry background and never use your camera flash again.

Photo 202 will be offered Thursday, February 9th, 9:30 am to 11:30 am OR Saturday, February 11, 1

pm to 3 pm.

Editing 101:  New this year!  Learn editing basics that can be applied in any editing program (phone app or desktop) to make your photos look their full potential.  If class participants desire, we can get into retouching or delve into Adobe RAW and Photoshop techniques as well.

Editing 101 will be offered Friday, February 10, 7-9 pm.

Manual Part Deux:  Also new this year!  Upon request, here's a class to brush up those Manual skills.  Whether you just learned last week or last year, this is a great class to explore more lighting scenarios with a teacher at your side to help solidify your thought process and nail down your Manual techniques.  Capture tack sharp images with beautiful exposure, every time.

Manual Part Deux will be offered Thursday February 16 12:30-2:30 pm OR Saturday, February 25 10 am to 12 noon.

To register, email me at ejtcat@hotmail.com.  Payment is required in advance as classes are kept intentionally small.  If you need to cancel and I can fill your spot, I'm happy to refund your money.
